Fed: Presecutors given extra time to question terror suspect
Prosecutors have been granted extra time to question a man they believe is involved
in a terrorism plot.
SANEY AWEYZ was one of five people arrested during counter-terrorism raids early this
morning across Melbourne and in Colac in Victoria's southwest.
Police allege the men were planning a suicide attack on a military base .. one has
been charged with conspiring to commit an act in preparation for or planning a terrorist
act.
Prosecutors were granted more time to question AWEYZ in the Melbourne Magistrates'
Court today .. and he'll now be interviewed from six tonight.
Prosecutors will also apply for an extension of time to interview two other people
arrested in the raids.
